SERVICE UPDATES:
On Sunday 27th April 2025, there will be standard timetabling changes across the North Shore, West and Central Auckland. Thursday 24th April 2025 was the last day for route 132 operations. This route no longer operates and passengers who take route 132 will now need to take route 13 and then transfer at the Te Atatu Interchange to routes 11T or 11W and vice versa for the reverse direction of this route. From Sunday 27th April 2025, route 13 will have have an additional five trips, between 3:00PM and 6:00PM, for rush hour/peak times on weekdays only. An extra, sixth trip will also be added to route 13, which departs from Te Atatu Peninsula Library and continues as normal to Henderson. This sixth trip DOES NOT serve the loop around the peninsula. Routes 11T and 11W will also have extra weekday trips, which means that there will be six combined 11T and 11W trips every hour (three per route), between both directions until 9:00PM. Routes 11T, 11W and WX1 will have different timetables, as the handover for the WX1 tender to Tranzurban Auckland requires this. Route 120 will become route 12, as it is now a frequent bus route. It will keep its 30-minute headway at off-peak times and will have a headway of every 5 - 15 minutes at peak times on weekdays. In mid-2025, off-peak headways will increase. Morning and afternoon Akoranga trips will continue as per normal, as they did on the old route 120. Route 12 will no longer run via Sunset Road, Albany Highway and Upper Harbour Dr and will instead run via the Upper Harbour Highway and Upper Harbour Motorway, to which it will then continue as per normal from Greenhithe Road. Route 902 is a new bus route, starting from this date. It will replace the old section of route 120 (Sunset Road, Albany Highway and Upper Harbour Dr). Route 902 will overlap with route 120, after the Greenhithe Road Overbridge. It will also service Wainoni, via a new section of network on Orwell and Kyle Roads. Outbound trips will terminate and inbound trips will start at STOP 4333 (Kyle Road/Huntington Reserve). Route 902 will have a headway of 30 minutes up to 9:00PM daily and then hourly, from then until 11:00PM. Routes 12 and WX1 will have new electric buses from this date onwards. Single- and double-decker electric buses will operate on route WX1 until mid-2025, with diesel buses being used at off-peak times until the aforementioned date. This is also the case for route 12. Routes 11T and 11W will continue to use a combination of diesel and electric single-decker buses until mid-2025, when only electric buses will service the route. Also from this date, route 64 will resume normal fares, from its prior 1 cent fare. Finally, from this date, route 377 will be extended from Papakura to the new houses at Park Green. The route will also be straightened through Rosehill along Edinburgh Avenue and Goodwin Drive. Prior to this date, this route served Pahurehure and Rosehill. Its extension will now have it extended to terminate and start trips at Park Green. As a result, this route will no longer service 418 - 465 Great South Road, Tatariki Street. Chichester Drive and Jupiter Street. For a map of the new 12 and 902 routes, CLICK HERE. For the same information about this, via the AT website, CLICK HERE. For a map of the route for 377, CLICK HERE. For the same information about this, via the AT website, CLICK HERE. Do not hesitate to email isaac@aucklandbuses.co.nz, for information regarding this network change or any Auckland public transport query. This website will endeavour to fetch the individual bus route maps for all the new bus routes, but this may take some time.
On Sunday 17th November 2024, there will be changes to the way you pay for public transport in Auckland, as well as standard timetabling changes across the North Shore, Central, East and South Auckland. Furthermore, there will be bus route changes to several crosstown bus routes in central Auckland, plus major adjustments to the OuterLink bus route. From the aforementioned date, you will now be able to pay for public transport fares by means of contactless debit and credit card payments (except for Fullers Waiheke commercial ferries), on top of your AT HOP Card. These include the following merchants: Visa, Mastercard, American Express and UnionPay, which can also be accessed by the following mediums: Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay. As per using an AT HOP Card, you must 'tag on' and 'tag off' using the exact same payment method. For example, you 'tag on' with a physical Visa Debit Card; therefore, you must 'tag off' with the exact same physical Visa Debit Card. You cannot 'tag off' with a Visa Debit Card on Apple Pay, or vice versa for 'tagging on' etc. EFTPOS cards are not accepted, as they do not offer means of contactless payment methods. Cash still cannot be used on any bus within the Auckland region. When using a physical card to 'tag on' and 'tag off' (i.e. an AT HOP Card or debit/credit card), you must ensure that no other contactless/RFID card is near the card you are using or the reader, so that the correct card is read properly. At this time, AT HOP Cards use the 7-day $50 fare cap, while contactless payments use the one-day $20 fare cap. Incorrectly 'tagged on' and 'tagged off' cards, like with an AT HOP Card, will incur a default fare. Contactless payments on Auckland Transport services are charged a standard adult fare. The following groups of people should NOT use contactless payment methods and should continue to use an AT HOP Card: children (aged up to 15-years old), students (concession), tertiary students (concession), SuperGold cardholders (concession) and Total Mobility cardholders (concession). This is so you get the cheapest fare for your travels.
There are changes to the following central crosstown bus routes: 64, 68, 650, 670. A major route truncation applies to the OuterLink bus route. Route 64, rather than looping around Kingsland/Eden Park, will continue to St Lukes Mall via a route extension: Sandringham Rd and St Lukes Rd. This has a headway of between 12-15 minutes. Route 68 has a small route extension of one bus stop, between Onehunga TC and Onehunga Train Station. All route 68 services bound west for New Lynn will depart from STOP 1038 (Princess St/Onehunga Station) and continue as per normal. Route 650 does have a small route adjustment at Walker Park, where it now runs anticlockwise, not clockwise (enter via Target St, exit via Walker Rd). Route 650 is now more frequent. This means it is now route 65, with a headway of at least 15 minutes. Route 670 is now 67A, with timetable changes, but its route is still the same. Route 67B follows the exact same route as the 67A (ex 670), but terminates at Onehunga TC. This means that between New Lynn, Great North Rd, New North Rd, Hendon Ave, Stoddard Rd, Denbeigh Ave, Somerset Rd, Carr Rd, Herd Rd, Trafalgar St, Onehunga Mall and Onehunga TC (for route 67 [combined 67/67B]), there will be a headway of 15 minutes. For the OuterLink, service between St Lukes Mall, Balmoral Rd, Dominion Rd, Valley Rd, Mt Eden Rd, Greenlane West, Manukau Rd and Newmarket (ACW section) will be suspended. This means that the OuterLink won't run as a loop service anymore. Service between St Lukes Mall, Mt Albert, Pt Chevalier, Meola Rd, Westmere, Three Lamps, Victoria Park, Wellesley St, Universities, Parnell and Newmarket (CW section) will still operate as normal. To make the quickest connection between St Lukes Mall and Valley Rd Shops, Mt Eden and Newmarket, use route 64. For Balmoral Rd, the rest of Dominion, Mt Eden and Manukau Rds, use route 65 and transfer to the bus routes for those roads (i.e. 25B/25L/252/253, 27H/27T/27W and 30/309/309X).
A change to STOP 7124 Jervois Rd (Mason Ave) also takes place from this date, where route 101 and the OuterLink will no longer serve this bus stop. The 333X bus route, between Britomart and Otahuhu Station, will no longer operate - due to low passenger numbers. Route 861 in the North Shore will be extended to Vaughans Rd. Finally, routes 866 and 966 will no longer depart outbound (north) from Mahuru Rd and instead from STOP 7207 (St Marks Rd).
For this website, the following bus routes will have updated individual bus route maps: OuterLink, 64, 65 (ex 650) and 101. The following bus routes will not have updated individual bus route maps on this website, for the interim: 67B, 861, 866, 966. Route 67A (ex 670) will retain its old individual bus route map, in the interim.

On Sunday 21st July 2024, two new bus routes will begin operation in the North Shore. The first one, route 888, will service Fairview Heights and Albany Heights via Fairview Ave, Lonely Track Rd, Gills Rd, Albany Village and Oteha Valley Rd. Route 888 will operate every 30- to 40-minutes, every day, from 6:00AM to 7:10PM. This bus route will operate as a loop service, in an anticlockwise direction, departing and terminating at Albany Bus Station. Ritchies Transport will be the operator for this bus route. CLICK HERE to view the temporary route map for route 888. The second one, route 999, will service the local Warkworth area via Lilburn St, Woodcocks Rd, Falls Rd and the Warkworth Community Transport Hub (Great North Rd). Route 999 will operate every 30 minutes, every day, from ~5:50AM to ~7:30PM. This bus route will also operate as a loop service, in a clockwise direction, departing and terminating at Baxter St (Warkworth Town Centre). Ritchies Transport will also be the operator for this bus route. Currently, there isn't any route map available for route 999, so nothing will be published as of yet. If you have any queries at all or would like to know more, you can also email isaac@aucklandbuses.co.nz. This website will still stay on top of trying to fetch the new bus route maps for these two bus routes. Thank you for your understanding.
Aucklandbuses.co.nz can yield information about school bus routes. Simply either hover over the 'Bus Routes' navigation or click on it, then click on 'Schools'. You'll be listed with the schools that have been added to this website. If you would like a school (as long as it is within the Auckland Boundary Lines and has at least one Auckland Transport-operated school bus route) added to this website, email isaac@aucklandbuses.co.nz. The majority of the Auckland Transport-operated school bus routes do not have a route map supplied with them, which is why you'll find most of them with asterisks (symbolising they don't have a route map).
